The PMC will work to develop, monitor, and advocate for responsible federal healthcare policy on behalf of individuals with pain and the professionals who support them through clinical care and education by addressing quality of care, access to care, public and professional education, and research.
The PMC’s advocacy priorities include:
- Restoring credibility in pain medicine, with a focus on quality and safety.
- Promoting best practices in pain medicine with evidence-based care.
- Advocate for and influence the development of pain medicine policy based on evidence and patient safety.
- Advocate for fair reimbursement practices in pain medicine based on scientific and real world evidence and best practices.
