Samer Narouze, MD, PhD, is the Division Chief of Pain Medicine at University Hospitals, Cleveland, OH. He serves as a Professor of Anesthesiology and Surgery at CWRU, NEOMED and OUCOM. Dr. Narouze is the Past President of the ASRA Pain Medicine Society and the Chairman of the Board for the American Interventional Headache Society (AIHS). He chairs the pain committee at the American society of Anesthesiology (ASA) and a founding member for the Pain Medicine Coalition (PMC). He earned a Master’s in Medical Management (MMM) from Carnegie Mellon University. Dr. Narouze is board certified in anesthesiology, pain medicine, neurology headache medicine, and interventional pain management. Active in numerous committees for national and international headache and pain organizations, he has authored around 200 research papers, review articles, and book chapters. Dr. Narouze is the Editor-in-Chief of the “Annals of Headache Medicine” journal and serves on the editorial boards of Regional Anesthesia and Pain Medicine (RAPM) journal, Journal of Ultrasound in Medicine (JUM), Pain Practice journal, and others.
